Our Licensed Professionals at OC Mental Health Group are trained and specialized in conducting Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluations. A Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation is a process that helps a mental health professional determine the presence and severity of mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder. During the evaluation, a mental health professional will ask questions about your symptoms, behaviors, and overall functioning. They may also use various tools and assessments, such as questionnaires or interviews, to gather information. The goal of the evaluation is to accurately diagnose any mental health conditions and develop a treatment plan to address them.

Our Licensed Psychiatric Providers at OC Mental Health Group provide ongoing management of prescription medications and provide supportive therapy with every session. We emphasize the importance of quality care by providing 20 to 60 minute follow-up appointments.
A psychiatric medication management visit is a consultation with a mental health professional (usually a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner) to discuss and review the effectiveness of medications prescribed for mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. The purpose of the visit is to ensure that the medication is working as intended and to make any necessary adjustments to the dosage or type of medication as needed. During the visit, the mental health professional will also assess the patient's overall mental health and wellbeing, and may provide additional recommendations or referrals for further treatment if needed.

OC Mental Health Group offers an extensive Computerized Continuous Performance Test (CPT) that allows us to measure the core ADHD symptoms including inattention, activity, and impulsivity. Studies show, Computerized Continuous Performance Test are considered "Gold Standard" for diagnosis of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Through our test, each patient is then compared to an age and gender-matched control group and an ADHD control group, allowing our providers and yourself to understand the severity of your symptoms.

During psychotherapy, you learn about your condition and your moods, feelings, thoughts and behaviors. We assist you in the process to learn how to take control of your life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills.

Insurances Accepted
We accept most major insurances that include, but not limited to Aetna, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim HealthCare, Meritain Health, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, United Health Care (UHC), UHC Student Resources, UMR, and other insurance plans. We are able to bill out-of-network insurers, and cash pay options are also available.
Is Your Insurance Plan Not In Network?
No problem! If you are on an Insurance Plan that we are not contracted with, you will be considered “Out of Network.” Many Insurance/PPO Plans offer “Out of Network Provider” Benefits and will reimburse between 10%-60% of our Private Pay Fees. To help with accessibility to care, will can provide you with a paper “Super Bill” that you can submit to your insurance company for qualified reimbursement. We utilize a service called “Reimbursify” to simplify the process to help you get reimbursed for our services.
